A named scholarship is a meaningful way to honor a physician, mentor, loved one, clinic, family, community, or personal legacy while helping reduce financial barriers for osteopathic medical students. Together, we can invest in the next generation of osteopathic physicians preparing to serve Oregon and communities across the Pacific Northwest.

Osteopathic medical students are preparing to serve patients, families, and communities with whole-person care. Through the Name a Future Healer Scholarship program, donors can create a named scholarship that reflects their values, honors someone meaningful, and helps launch the next generation of osteopathic physicians.
With a $10,000 commitment, you can fund one named NWOF scholarship. Gifts may be made in a single payment or divided over two or four years, making it possible for individuals, families, clinics, practices, and community partners to participate in a lasting and meaningful way.
Named scholarships may honor a physician, mentor, loved one, clinic, family, community, or commitment to rural, underserved, or whole-person care.

How a Named Future Healer Scholarship Works
A Name a Future Healer gift is temporarily restricted to fund the named scholarship it creates. It is a one-time named scholarship rather than a permanently endowed fund, which means it is not a permanent Legacy Scholarship. Donor Recognition
Donors who create a named scholarship may receive:
- Recognition on the NWOF website and in annual scholarship materials
- An invitation to a scholarship presentation or Future Healers event
- The opportunity to receive recipient updates or stories, when permitted
- A stewardship report showing the impact of your gift
