Sydnie Leake looks forward to returning to rural Oregon to care for the people and communities of home. For Sydnie, that care begins with listening – not only to symptoms, but to each person’s story, family, and daily life. Volunteering with Genesis Community Health and Crisis Text Line, mentoring aspiring healthcare professionals, and helping classmates learn ultrasound skills have reinforced a commitment to meeting people where they are. The goal is for every patient to feel heard, understood, and supported.
