Student Doctor Anna Hill
Northwest Osteopathic Foundation General Scholarship Recipient
Anna Hill is a fourth-year medical student at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU), currently applying to Family Medicine residency programs.
Her passion for connecting with patients is rooted in her multicultural background—having grown up in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia after being adopted from China. These experiences taught her to value cultural humility, empathy, and communication as essential tools in patient care.
Anna has a strong interest in women’s health, pediatrics, and global health, and plans to pursue a fellowship in obstetrics. She integrates osteopathic manipulative treatment and culinary medicine into her care philosophy, believing that prevention, nutrition, and education are vital for whole-person wellness.
Her leadership extends beyond the classroom. Anna has served as a student ambassador for PNWU, guiding prospective students and families, and as a peer mentor for first- and second-year medical students. She also participated in community outreach projects promoting women’s health and preventive medicine, helping expand access to wellness education for underserved populations in the Yakima Valley.
As an advocate, Anna is passionate about advancing equitable healthcare for women and families. She aims to practice in a community-based setting where she can provide full-spectrum care—supporting patients from birth through all stages of life.
Outside of medicine, Anna enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband and their yellow lab—whether biking, swimming, or exploring the Pacific Northwest.
